lp133x5 lp133x5 lp133x5 lp133x5- -- -a2ib a2ib a2ib a2ib liquid crystal display liquid crystal display liquid crystal display liquid crystal display product specification product specification product specification product specification 10 1010 10- -- -04 0404 04- -- -14 1414 14 page page page page 4 44 4/20 /20/20 /20 1. general description the lg lcd inc. model LP133X5-A2IB lcd is a color a ctive matrix liquid crystal display with an integra l cold cathode fluorescent tube(ccft) back light syst em. the matrix employs a-si thin film transistor a s the active element. it is a transmissive type disp lay operating in the normally white mode. this tft -lcd has a 13.3 inch diagonally measured active display area with xga resolution(768 vertical by 1024 horiz ontal pixel array). each pixel is divided into red, gree n and blue sub-pixels or dots which are arranged in vertical stripes. gray scale or the brightness of the sub-p ixel color is determined with a 6-bit gray scale si gnal for each dot, thus, presenting a palette of 262,144 colors. (the operating life of the lamp is defined as havin g ended when the illumination of light has reached 50% of the initial value) 13.3 on/off cycle : the display module will be capable of being oper ated over 24,000 on/off cycles (b/l, vdd on/off) 14. safety 14.1 sharp edge : there will be no sharp edges or corners on the disp lay assembly that could cause injury. 14.2 materials 14.2.1 toxicity : there is no carcinogenic material s used anywhere in the display module. 14.2.2 flammability : all components including elec trical components of the module should meet the flammability grade min.ul94-v1. the printed circuit board is made fro m material rated ul94-v1 or better. the actual ul flammability rating is printed on the printed circuit board. 14.2.3 capacitors : if any polarized capacitors are used in the display assembly, provisions will be m ade to keep them from being inserted backwards. 14.2.4 hazardous voltages : any points exceeding 42 .2volts meets the requirement of the limited curren t circuit. the current through a 2 kohm resistance is less tha n 0.7 x f(khz)ma. 15. packaging : the packaging of the lcd meets 75 cm drop test. 16. smoke free design : no smoke or strange smell shall not be observed by the operator as a result of any single failure. 17.performance : all electromagnetic compatibility apply when the display module is attached to the host system. www.datasheet.net/ datasheet pdf - http://www..co.kr/

(2) you should consider the mounting structure so that uneven force (ex. twisted stress) is not appli ed to the module. and the case on which a module is moun ted should have sufficient strength so that externa l force is not transmitted directly to the module. (3) please attach the surface with a transparent p rotective plate in order to protect the polarizer l c cell. transparent protective plate should have suffic ient strength in order to resist external force. (4) you should adopt radiation structure to satisf y the temperature specification. (5) acetic acid type and chlorine type materials for th e cover case are not desirable because the former generates corrosive gas of attacking the polalizer at high temperature and the latter causes circuit b reak by electro-chemical reaction. (6) do not touch, push or rub the exposed polarizers wi th glass, tweezers or anything harder than hb penci l lead. and please do not rub with dust clothes with chemical treatment. do not touch the surface df polarizer for bare hand or greasy cloth. (some cosmetics are detrimental to the polarizer.) (7) when the surface becomes dusty, please wipe gently with absorbent cotton or other soft materials like chamois soaked with petrolium benzene. normal-h exane is recommended for cleaning the adhesives use d to attach front / rear polarizers. do not use acet one, toluen and alcohol because they cause chemical damage to the polarizer. (8) wipe off saliva or water drops as soon as possible. their long time contact with polarizer causes deformations and color fading. (9) do not open the case because inside circuits do not have sufficent strength. (10) do not touch, push the tcp bonding area strongly, b ecause that area is very fragile and sensitive. 18.2 operating precautions (1) the spike noise causes the mis-operation of ci rcuits. it should be lower than following voltage : vdd = 200mv, v1 = 200mv (over and under shoot voltage). (2) response time depends on the temperature. (in lower temperature, it becomes longer.) (3) brightness depends on the temperature. (in low er temperature, it becomes lower.) and in lower temperature, response time (requir ed time that brightness is stable after turned on ) becomes longer. (4) be careful for condensation at sudden temperat ure change. condensation makes damage to polarizer or electrical contacted parts. and after fading co ndensation, smear or spot will occur. (5) when fixed patterns are displayed for a long t ime, remnant image is likely to occur. (6) a module has high frequency circuit. if you n eed to shield the electromagnetic noise, please do in yours. (7) when a back-light unit is operating, it sounds . if you need to shield the noise, please do in yo urs. 18.3 electrostatic discharge control since a module is composed of electronic circuits . it is not strong to electrostatic discharge. ma ke certain that treatment persons are connected to ground thr ough wrist band etc . . and dont touch i/f pin di rectly. 18.4 precaution for strong light exposure strong light exposure causes degradation of polar izer and color filter. www.datasheet.net/ datasheet pdf - http://www..co.kr/

(1) store them in a dark place. do not expose the modul e to sunlight or fluorescent light. keep the temperature between 5 and 35 at normal humidity. (2) the polarizer surface should not come in conta ct with any other object. it is recommended that they be stored in the co ntainer in which they were shipped. 18.6 handling precautions for protection film (1) when the protection film is peeled off, static electricity is generated between the film and pola rizer. this should be peeled off slowly and carefully by people who are electrically grounded and with we ll ion- blown equipment or in such a condition, etc.. (2) the protection film is attached to the polariz er with a small amount of glue. if some stress is a pplied to rub the protection film against the polarizer durin g the time you peel off the film, the glue is apt t o remain on the polarizer. please carefully peel off the protection film w ithout rubbing it against the polarizer. (3) when the module with protection film attached is stored for a long time, sometimes there remains a very small amount of glue still on the polarizer aft er the protection film is peeled off. (4) you can remove the glue easily. when the glue remai ns on the polarizer surface or its vestige is recognized, please wipe them off with absorbent cotton waste or other soft material like chamois s oaked with normal-hexane. 18.7 handling precautions for tcp bonding area (1) please, handle the lcd module with care and dont h old the tcp bonding area strongly, because that are a is very fragile and sensitive. www.datasheet.net/ datasheet pdf - http://www..co.kr/
